The OPS Group are happy to announce with the collaboration of Terex and Finlay we have been working on a project to align and work with an Australian charity, we’re proud to announce our official partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), commencing in early 2024.
Through this partnership, we have acquired a Finlay 883+ dedicated to a fundraising campaign supporting breast cancer research. This machine, custom-branded with the NBCF logo and proudly painted pink, will join our rental fleet. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for breast cancer research. A portion of the revenue generated from renting this unique machine will be contributed to the foundation, supporting their vital vision of achieving Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
“At OPS we have long aspired to undertake a project of this nature and seeing it come to fruition fills us with immense sense of pride”, said Shane Czerkasow, Director at OPS. “Our objective is to align with NBCF’s mission by contributing to breast cancer research, working towards their 5-year vision of zero deaths from breast cancer”. “As we worked on the project with our business partners and suppliers around the world it was evident the widespread effect of breast cancer, as the room was constantly filled with individuals sharing stories of “My mum, My best friend, My sister and even Me” as people shared their stories of being affected. “With the machine now arriving in Australia we look forward to working with our customers to further raise awareness and for the NBCF foundation”.
“When OPS approached me with this idea, I was more than happy to support it,” said Joe Donnelly, Regional Sales Director for Finlay. “Cancer has impacted the lives of countless individuals in one way or another, and this initiative provides us with a great opportunity to make a positive difference. A big, bright, pink machine is not something you’d often see in our industry so I’ve no doubt it will be a talking point on the various rental projects it will be involved in. We hope this awareness will highlight the importance of early detection and provide a positive ripple effect on the lives it touches.”
Why NBCF ?
A Significant Milestone for all those involved,
This initiative marks a significant achievement, being the first time Terex has agreed to collaborate with a dealership through a charitable partnership and paint a machine in the charity colours, despite requests from dealerships all over the world. Additionally, the project is set to enable OPS to make the largest first-year corporate partnership donation in the history of the NBCF from a fundraising campaign.
